HUMAN KIND HAS NOT WOVEN THE WEB OF LIFE. WE ARE BUT ONE THREAD WITHIN IT. WHATEVER WE DO TO THE WEB WE DO TO OURSELVES. ALL THINGS CONNECT.---Chief Seatle |

The membership dues sustain the only 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in this region dedicated to the preservation of all local wildlife by rehabilitating the orphaned and injured as well as providing community education opportunities. American Heritage Wildlife Foundation is incorporated with the State of Idaho as a non-profit incorporation as well as a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization. Status approved in 2002. The primary focus being the local wildlife and how to help get them back into the wild, where they belong. The secondary focus on how to help us all better understand our ’native neighbors’. A ‘full-time full service’ nature center is our goal for our community. |

(we’re close to completing our ‘alphabet’) Acquire enough land to: Build a nature center building large enough to offer classes and hands on displays. We will offer a variety of classes for children of all ages. Create large naturalistic habitats for wild animal ambassadors. Their presence and ability to display natural behaviors will help us understand their importance in the whole ecosystem. Develop a wildlife hospital where the injured and orphaned can be brought and every attempt will be made to rehabilitate and release these animals. Establish nature trails where interactive signs will assist in learning about important topics such as tree identification and animal track identification. Find nature guides that will
be able to share with you their enthusiasm and knowledge of the great
outdoors. These people will not only answer questions about the flora and
fauna in the park but also be there during the planned overnight camping
stays, to answer all those nocturnal questions that only come up when the sun
has gone down. |
