Financial:                                                                                                 We hope your questions will be answered about our 501(c)3 non profit organization within the next few minutes at this site but if not please do not hesitate to contact us!                                              A full page annual report is available for your review in the format of your choice: email, cd, floppy, or printed. We also have copies of all the IRS form 990's. (we are working to link you to the documents, sorry for the inconvenience.)

“the future depends on what we do in the present”. Pledges are gladly accepted. Remember donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)3 and NOT supported by local, state or federal funding! We are also 100% volunteer.

If you were to consider the foundation as a warm blooded animal;  the staff and volunteers would be the limbs. They would be doing the work. The donors would be the spine and bone. They would be the structure and strength. The board of directors are then the brain and eyes. It is their job to stay focused and think about what is next. Are you ready to take a stand and help the local wildlife? Are you willing to dedicate a few hours each month to conserve what you love?  Make it a promise to yourself & the community to to present the present as a present for future generations.  We at AHWF have!

            Our Mission

(since 2001) To work towards the preservation of all wildlife and our heritage through rehabilitation and community education.

We were the first group in the panhandle licensed & permitted to rehabilitate all orphaned and injured wildlife. We now work with Raptor & Ungulate specialty groups. AHWF offers educational classes about the "native neighbors" we cohabitate with. We are the only group to pursue the goal of creating the only Nature Center in the Inland Pacific Northwest. Join us and help create a fantastic future for all generations to appreciate the beauty and purpose of all the wildlife and habitats of the Great Inland Pacific Northwest.

-IF YOU TALK TO THE ANIMALS THEY WILL TALK WITH YOU AND YOU WILL KNOW EACH OTHER. IF YOU DO NOT TALK TO THEM YOU WILL NOT KNOW THEM, AND WHAT YOU DO NOT KNOW YOU WILL FEAR. WHAT ONE FEARS ONE DESTROYS.  -CHIEF DAN GEORG

In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught." - B.Dioum
